What is a Silent Disco?

A silent disco is typically a system of three separate radio transmitters which broadcast music to headphones wirelessly. Each transmitter and headphone can play 3 channels of music allowing participants to choose between three different music options.
Do you rent the equipment or does Silent Disco DSM come to your location and produce the event?

We do both! We have two options you can choose from. The first option is a DIY option which includes either picking up the equipment from our office in Johnston or we can ship the equipment to you.

The second option includes the Silent Disco team bringing all the necessary equipment to your location. We would set up the Silent Disco and manage the distribution and return of the headphones during your event.
Where does the music come from?

Music can be supplied via live DJ’s, phones, mp3 players, laptops, or tablets. If your device has auxiliary ports or a 3.5mm headphone jack, it can probably be connected to a transmitter. Silent Disco DSM can rent you devices that have full Spotify access or hire DJ’s.
How Do I Control the Headphones?

Each headphone has its own volume control and a switch allowing you to funnel through the three available channels.
How is a Silent Disco Headphone different from my everyday headphones?

Silent Disco Headphones use proprietary radio signals produced by transmitters to listen to music while your everyday headphones use auxiliary cords or bluetooth.
Who can use Silent Disco Headphones?

Headsets are adjustable and can be used by kids and adults. They are comfortable, lightweight and are padded.
How long will a pair of headphones last?

Each unit has a rechargeable battery allowing it to run continuously for up to 8 hours.
